Jake Cavanaugh, a photographer with mysterious, brooding gray eyes, agrees to help chronicle her newfound experiences. She makes him laugh, one of the only people who can these days. As they delve into each other’s pasts – and secrets – the closer they become.

And he’s struggling with the fact that his beloved sister’s heart beats inside her.

My Review
I really ended up liking this book. I know y'all are like when do you ever not a book. LOL It's true if it's written I'm probably going to find something to like about it. This one is different. I knew that I would like it but I didn't expect it not to be the romancy fluff.

Audra has had a heart transplant that has of course extended her life. She feels a bit guilty that someone had to die in order for her to live. So she finds out her donor is (Emily) and decides to recreate her Tumblr done-it list as a thank you. Since Emily brother did most of the photography she ask him if he would be willing to recreate the pictures and to her surprise he agrees.

Things become complicated as Audra would like to know about Emily but Jake (the brother) is not so forthcoming. The two start to fall for each other but there's always something that creates tension. I will say this that Jake has the brooding hunky guy down! Sidenote, him and his forehead kisses. Ladies if you are on the fence about any guy. You don't know where things are going to lead and you don't want to get caught up emotionally...DO NOT LET HIM FOREHEAD KISS YOU!!! I don't know why but there is something sexual, enduring, and just heartstring pulling about a forehead kiss. Y'all have been forewarned.

Anyway, I just liked this story. The way her good intentions were low key snooping. There were times when I just wished she would say 'I have her heart and would like to know as much as possible about her'. I think many people would if they were in those circumstances.

Looking for a romance with a good storyline I think this is a good story for you.

About the Author
Lindsey has been writing since she was nine years old, when she discovered the awesomeness that is Harriet the Spy. Her books always include a romance, though sometimes there’s an added sci-fi or magical realism twist. She lives in Columbus, Ohio (where the weather is never quite right). Her BFA in Photography and Graphic Design has granted her a wide assortment of creative knowledge that serves as inspiration (and not much else). When she’s not crafting YA and NA stories, you'll likely find her spending waaay too much time on Pinterest, playing a video game, singing show-tunes, or performing in a burlesque show—because she enjoys giving her introversion a worthy adversary. (Plus, it's the closest to Broadway she’ll ever get.) Lindsey was a proud 2016 Pitch Wars Mentee and thoroughly adores being a part of the wonderful writing community. THE HEARTBEAT HYPOTHESIS is her debut novel.

My Review
I'll keep this short and sweet. Better than I thought it would be. First let me say the sex scenes are hot , hot, hot with a side of steamy. I liked Mack and Connor. It's a fun read but Mack's backstory adds a dose of seriousness . Find read to get yourself in the summer read mood.

About the Author
Rebecca Brooks lives in New York City in an apartment filled with books. She received a PhD in English but decided it was more fun to write books than write about them. She has backpacked alone through India and Brazil, traveled by cargo boat down the Amazon River, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro, explored ice caves in Peru, trekked to the source of the Ganges, and sunbathed in Burma, but she always likes coming home to a cold beer and her hot husband in the Bronx. Her books are about independent women who leave their old lives behind to try something new—and find the passion, excitement and purpose they didn’t know they’d been missing

Tour: Wet by Ashley Bostock

Wet
Ashley Bostock
Publication date: December 26th 2016
Genres: Adult, Contemporary, Romance
I’ve always been Miranda Phillips, the town pariah. Growing up with neglectful parents, having sought attention from all the guys that were willing to give it to me, I wasn’t the most well-behaved kid in Lone Star. Not to mention all of the juvenile delinquent acts I’ve committed in my past.
But now I am Lone Star’s only reporter and I’ve come a long way from being that lost, troubled girl, even if most of the town still judged me for it. I don’t allow anyone to get in the way of what I want. Including Ryan John. So when I corner him in a dark hallway and get him to succumb to the sizzling attraction between us, I know I’m playing with fire.
***
Even though I’ve successfully avoided her for two months, I haven’t forgotten how she tastes or what she feels like in my arms. And when I get sent a mysterious letter from some company wanting to buy my thousand shares of water rights that have been in my family for over a hundred years, I’m convinced that there is no one…err, better equipped, to help me than Lone Star’s reporter, Miranda Phillips.
I know how desperately she wants me and this letter gives me all the reason I need to spend one night with the girl from the wrong side of town. One night in exchange for her tight investigative skills. And believe me, she’s tight, in more ways than one. One night. Because Miranda is trouble and being on the city council, as well as guardian to my younger brother and sister, means I can’t afford trouble.
Even if it comes packaged just the way I like.

My Review:
This was an okay read. It was what I expected it to be. It's one of those familiar romance novels. Which isn't a bad thing when you are somewhat stuck in a reading stump. Here's the thing though. I didn't care for any of the characters especially Miranda. She came across a bit pathetic at times. I mean a man that doesn't want you whether or not he engaged in sexual relations isn't a challenge. He's a jerk and needs to be the one to come begging.

Yeah, yeah I know she has a history in the town and just want to be seen for who she is now but throwing herself at this guy isn't going to do it. Speaking of 'the guy' Ryan was a jerk but at least he realizes it. I know all of this is suppose to be the thing to add suspense to the story so that when they do hook up we'll all be like 'awe' but that just didn't happen for me.

Now this sounds like a negative review but it's not. Though I didn't gel with the characters. I still read and finished the book quickly. It had some good steamy moments. If you are a romance novel fan this will probably be right up your ally
