Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Reading Challenge 2016

#FantasticBeastsRC

If you took part in my Hogwarts Reading Challenge this one will feel so what familiar.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Reading Challenge 2016
January 1, 2016 to November 14, 2016

I am so happy that a new HP movie is coming out. Aren't you excited?! I decided to celebrate with a reading challenge. The Hogwarts challenge from a few years back gave me the idea of this one. You are still a student of Hogwarts. Being smart bookish, you find out that there are hidden classes students can take (that Hogwarts is always full of surprises) an AP Newt Scamander class taught by Professor Neville Longbottom.

Class description:
A magizoologist is in constant contact with creatures, beasts, plants, and hybrids. This class is your step into the intense profession of Magizoology.

Prerequisite: Care of Magical Creatures (Herbology is not required but suggested)

Required book: Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander

Keep a look out for your O.W.L.s in May and N.E.W.T.s in November. Special assignments may pop up periodically. Remember you are still a student of Hogwarts so each beast (book you read) you find will count towards your house points.
                                                                                            -Professor Neville Longbottom

So there you have it. The Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them Reading Challenge 2016. Basically in order to complete the magizoology part of the challenge you need to read at least one book that fits the description of a fantastic beast or can fit Care of Magical Creatures.

House Points are awarded as such:

Read a book that is about, has on it's cover, in the title an animal that fits part of the description of a fantastic beast. 15 points each - beasts can be found here and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them by Newt Scamander

Read a book that you can list under Care of Magical Creatures. 10 points each

Reading books that you can list under the following for 5 points each
--These classes are Transfiguration, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Potions, Astronomy, Herbology, Arithmancy, and Ancient Runes

Reading books that you can list under these three 1 point each
--These classes are History of Magic, Divination, and Muggle Studies

I'm going to have fun with this so those you follow me on Twitter will seem me tweeting my adventures of tracking beasts for this class. Join me by using hashtag #FantasticBeastsRC
